The 33rd Annual Golf Challenge…Register Today
On Monday, August 22nd – our 33rd Annual Golf Challenge will take place. This year’s fundraiser will once again be held at the Atkinson Resort & Country Club (85 Country Club Drive, Atkinson, NH).
Each year, golfers from across New Hampshire, and beyond, play in our tournament so they can prove to their friends and family that they are the best golfer in their group, take chances on some awesome raffle prizes, and, of course, support our organization! Proceeds from our golf tournament (and all fundraisers we hold) go directly towards supporting the children and adults with developmental and other disabilities that we serve. Due to the support from our many golfers and sponsors, those we serve will have more access to basic necessities such as groceries and cleaning supplies, home or vehicle modifications, technology for educational or social purposes, therapeutic activities, and more.
One characteristic of our golf tournament that always stands out to me is how, even after more than three decades of this event, we continue to reach new people in our community, whether they golf, sponsor, donate, or volunteer.

Independent Service Coordinators Bonnie Roberts and Laura Brousseau became Chairs of the Golf Challenge committee in 2020. Bonnie, Laura, and all the other staff volunteers and community volunteer members are looking forward to another successful golf tournament.
Laura said, “I really look forward to the day of the event. There is a lot of behind the scenes coordination that goes into planning the event, and I personally like to see it all come together. It is truly rewarding to see the golfers enjoying the day (and of course their golf game) knowing we are raising money for such a great cause. In regards to raffles, the theme-based Yeti raffle prizes seemed to be a hit last year, so I believe you can expect a return of those. We also have some other great prizes in store for the golfers that will be revealed the day of the tournament.”
Bonnie is also looking forward to another great event. “Atkinson Country Club is so fun to work with. They are responsive to our players and make the day memorable for all those involved. I really enjoy the positive energy of the players and the volunteers. It’s such an amazing day, and I can’t thank our sponsors, players, and volunteers enough for helping us make the day so special.”
